BIKE RIDE 3

Sunday Aimee and I slept in. We missed Jason and Carmens call that morning. So when we finally got out of bed, we decided to take a bike trip to a place called SAND ISLAND.

About 8 grueling miles later we still haven't reached SAND ISLAND. Even though I'm out of shape I still felt good and energetic. Aimee was struggling a bit, but she hung in there and didn't give up, or really complain. (I was proud of her)
So instead of continuing on, we went to a boat launch, jet ski type channel that ended in a harbor. We stayed there for the day. We were near the piers on the opposite side of Honolulu.
That bike over there is Aimee's bike, Wal Mart specials have never been so good. Here on the Island all bikes must be registered.
We found a spot on the beach which was along the channel. The beach was two to three feet before it dropped off into deep waters. I went for a swim, Aimee tanned.

Even though it wasn't Sand Island, we made the best of it. The water felt good. People were water skiing, wake boarding, etc, thru this channel. To the left of our spot it went out to open ocean.

This bike here is James's Wal Mart special. I actually like it, it rides pretty smooth for a cheap bike !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There the sun set in the harbor right in front of us, it was nice and colorful. Next time we will make it to Sand Island. According to the map it is about 2 miles further down from where we were.

MALAEKAHANA STATE REC AREA

On saturday Jason and Carmen picked us up and we headed for the North SHORE.
We ended up at a place called MALEAKAHANA STATE REC AREA. There we took pictures, snorkeled, layed on beach mats, and enjoyed the day !!!!! That island out there to the left of our camp, Jason swam out to there. Can't wait for his pics.....Aimee and Carmen went for a walk, and me, I just put on my headphones and chilled on the mat.

That's kinda how we do it every time we're out. We do stuff together and sometimes we just do our own thing, In the end it's all about " YOU ", and enjoying life on your terms. It's just one of those things not everyone understands.!!!!!!!

Those last 8 pics were taken by Aimee, when Carmen and Aimee were on their walk. Pretty pics. WE really enjoyed it at that beach, it also is a campground, so you know that Aimee and I will put that on our list of camp spots. We took alot of pictures, we hope it wasn't too many, hope you liked them.

On our way back home we stopped at what we think is SUNSET BEACH, there we took more pics. As I was standing by the water snapping pics, I noticed a turtle in the wave in front of me...2....3.....4.......5. At least five just swimming close to shore. They would pop there heads up for air, but we couldn't catch them on camera. Still cool to see.......
What a way to end the day !!!!!!!!!
EVERYONE TAKE CARE AND HAVE A NICE DAY =}
