Sunday Aimee and I slept in. We missed Jason and Carmens call that morning. So when we finally got out of bed, we decided to take a bike trip to a place called SAND ISLAND.
About 8 grueling miles later we still haven't reached SAND ISLAND. Even though I'm out of shape I still felt good and energetic. Aimee was struggling a bit, but she hung in there and didn't give up, or really complain. (I was proud of her)
So instead of continuing on, we went to a boat launch, jet ski type channel that ended in a harbor. We stayed there for the day. We were near the piers on the opposite side of Honolulu.
That bike over there is Aimee's bike, Wal Mart specials have never been so good. Here on the Island all bikes must be registered.
We found a spot on the beach which was along the channel. The beach was two to three feet before it dropped off into deep waters. I went for a swim, Aimee tanned.
Even though it wasn't Sand Island, we made the best of it. The water felt good. People were water skiing, wake boarding, etc, thru this channel. To the left of our spot it went out to open ocean.
